Default Normal Oil Pressure?

what is the normal oil pressure range for a 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L V8? Mine is at about 60 when cold and driving and at half i think 40 when idling. Today the truck was a little warmer but in park at idle it was at about 30. Is that still normal?

6 psi is the minimum. Yes, six. The general rule of thumb is 10 psi per thousand rpm. It's normal for it to drop a bit when warm.

The dash gauges aren't known for being very accurate. Use a mechanical gauge if you ever think you have a problem.
