i am trying to figure out the transmission on my moms 02 dakota 4x4. it shifts ok when it is cold. kinda rough. when it is warmed up, it shifts ok from first to second. shifting into 3rd it revs up and then slams into gear. then it revs like a manual with a bad clutch and won't go. it has a 4.7l with a 45RFE trans and about 190k. i just changed the filters and fluid. the old fluid wasn't burned and didn't have pieces in it.
