my 5.2 ran like a raped ape before my accident. I did the first tune up on the truck since I've bought it today. next is my clutch kit and steering shaft, a leaf spring shackle, and headlight along with some body work. and she'll be a raped ape again.

Is this typical or is something wrong?

According to your information you have a 4X4 so your gearing is way different than that of those rice bangers or 2 WD version of your same truck; with that said once you get moving though should not be such a problem.

I would go through and make sure everything is ok; such as the plennum leak being fixed and all that as outlined here already by posters before me.

OK, where to I test the vac from? Just unplug something from the TB and plug in a vac gauge?

Well I've got 33's on it now and I run them just under 30 PSI in town, but I had the same problem running 31's at full recommended pressure.

I know the 33's don't help the situation, but it was like this on 31" street tires so I know that's not my problem...

My dakota had the auto but it had so much power ive lost cops in the challengers before, thing wouldnt ever stop accelerating even when the speedo was pegged at 120. Looking for a 99 5.8 4x4 auto again for a toy. Want the same green laramie slt power cloth 40-20-40 seats and everything i had before. Then all I need to do is rust through the exhaust right before the cat like the last truck and ill be good.
