Default IM BACK!!! Married into a dakota!

So i used to have 98 Dakota R/T, absolutely loved that truck. Unfortunately it was totaled but a lil over a year ago i got married and my wife's dad gave us her old dakota back. It's a 97 extended cab, auto, 4wd, with the 318. She told me the transmission was replaced about 2 years ago and the water pump was replaced last year. After having my R/T with the 360 then going to this i feel like i went from a viper to a school bus. Acceleration after 1000 rpm's sucks, its starts humming and you can't go past 1/4 throttle. I found the K&N filter on it was clogged i cleaned it and it was a lil better. This was my first time driving it after being deployed for 11 months. I asked her about it and she said its done that for a long time cause its misfiring. Idk who told her this but im gonna give it fresh plugs, wires, dist. cap and button, and an oil change and see how it runs. All in all im glad to be back on the forum.

Cool. So many changes within the Gen 2 platform, and I'm just getting started knowing my ride.
