Default My Truck Flooded!

I was driving around today and noticed the passenger side floor mat was wet. I got to my grandmothers house and ran weedeater line through the ac drain on the firewall and pulled the carpet up on that side and the foam was soaked. I tried to get as much water out as I could by pressing on the foam and soaking the waster up with a towel but it is still wet. How to I dry the carpet thoroughly? And how do I keep this from happening again?

Where is the water coming from? Is it just water or coolent?
Best way to dry the carpet out is pull the whole thing out and let it dry in the hot sun. Leaving it in might cause rust and you don't want that!

There is a bunch of threads on this.. Only way to fully dry the carpet is to pull it out and air it out for a day or so.

The thing is I don't have that kind of time. It is only water and not coolant. I can't really tell you where it's coming from.

Takes about an hour or so to take out in a ext cab. I had mine out before. The problem is you need to find the source of it. After awhile the carpet will start to mold and it will eventually rust out the floors. When I did mine I took out the carpet then got inside the truck and had someone spray it down. That way I could see where the water was coming from. You could try the elbow on the ac drain to see if it stops. You can get some of the water out by using a wet shop vac. Then put a fan in the truck or let the windows down for a few days
