Aftermarket HID Headlights - Install help / tips
Hi Guys:
My Dad recently got a new truck, and he gave me a great deal on his old Dakota, so I'm the proud new owner of an 03' 5.9L Quad Cab Dakota.
I'm looking forward to doing some mods and upgrades.
One of the first things I'd like to try is to install some HID headlights.
I found that all the websites selling the HID upgrade, are stating "professional installation highly recommended"..
I found these on ebay and really like the style:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360694877575...S:1123&vxp=mtr
Question: Anyone do an HID install themselves? Why are they stating professional install?
I sent a note to the seller on this one asking if there were directions included and got this reply back (not much help):
"This item does not come with any installation instructions,we do recommended professional installation. Also minor modification may needed for the plastic cover on the back of the lights for HID installation. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns, have a great day."
Thanks ahead for any help guys.
