He has a 3.9, he can run a 5.2 or 5.9 throttle body as a performance mod, you can find them used for 20-50$.

It's an automatic response, wasn't paying attention to that. But nowadays my junkyards have all been bought up and everything is now 3 times the price.

I see a lot of throttle bodies on Ebay for 5.2/5.9. If these are indeed compatible w/3.9 can anyone who has done the swap answer some questions? Is it a direct swap(no special fixtures or gaskets, etc. needed?) Does the computer throw codes? And most importantly, is there a noticeable improvement in the low end? I have a 2003 and it is a snail compared to the 94 w/the same engine that I drove for many years. I was really surprised at the lack of low end pickup. Thanks in advance.

I put a v-8 throttle body on my 3.9 and the only thing that I ended up having to change was the throttle cable from the gas pedal to the throttle body. As for the code I think I had one for the throttle position sensor for about 2 weeks while it relearned the settings after that haven't had a problem.
