Default Well,..You guys said it...

Don't buy bosch O-2 sensors. The Pre-cat one
I replaced less than 8 mos. ago. And, it went south
Again. Truck idled ruff. Ate gas. Loss of power. All withi
A week. Thought a tune-up with new wires ect.. ect.
Would solve the problem. Nope. Put the snap-ob scanner
On it and drove around watching the o2 readings. It was slow
To respond to throodle input. No codes. Just lazy.
Put ANOTHER bosch in there, all is fine again. Trouble
Is, I'm stuck with bosch due to the 12 mo warrenty.
I have to replace it with the same brand for it to be covered!
Guess I'm gonna get good at doing it! Lol.

You're probably not going to get that good at it, because the warranty will only cover it for 12 months. Which means that if the sensor lasts 8 months, you won't get it replaced again. That will be your "opportunity" to buy something else.

FWIW, my truck has had Bosch O2 sensors for the two years I've owned it (installed by previous owner) and I've never had any problems with them.

I pretty much had the same problem with my old dakota...couldn't spare the time to replace them myself so I bought the Bosch sensors and brought my truck to my local shop. The mechanics (real straight-shooters, no bullsht kind of guys) told me they're always replacing the Bosch sensors, and that I should spend the few extra dollars on better sensors. Never had a problem with the sensors since.
