01 4.7 Heat to 210* stopped, 200* on hwy?
I noticed today that the radiator is COOL on the pass side to touch,, and VERY HOT on the drivers side. right where the E-fan is located from inside shroud area.. its like half the radiator is working? the return hose is located near top as well as the inlet from engine,, is this a new design.? Also,, can a water pump go bad and not leak or make noise just not pump due to impeller blades ate away,, causing the slow flow in the radiator described above?
It's happened before, the impeller blades wearing down.
Why do you think you have a problem? Your radiator is working exactly as it is supposed to. Very hot water going in is coming out cool. It's a crossflow design.
Hot water from the engine goes in on the drivers side top. The cool water come out the passenger side.
Normal.
