Have you ever tried the Bosch Fine Wire Iridium Spark Plugs?

I put a set in my 2.5 over a year ago I just pulled two to look at and they looked great super clean with excellent burn almost like new.

Not that expensive also

I would ad I installed a excel hot coil at the same time with a .05 wider gap.

I have used Bosch platinum's in the past with good results but they tend to wear out fast I like them but the Fine Wire Iridium Spark Plugs are better.

Did it run better?

That I couldn't say as I installed them mid summer and my 2.5 always runs like crap in 115 degree heat with the A/C running everyday.

Dropped a 180 stat in two years ago it helped keep my temps lower during summer tried a 160 she ran too cool pulled it in two weeks she ran so cool.

I keep trying new things to get the best from the 2.5

im already gonna do the .060 over pistons, the 4.0 TB, remove the S intake and make it straight, also remove the sensor from the intake into the airbox, and im gonna try the spark plugs you suggested, ill look into the Coil as well

Hypothetically speaking......

if i bought the roller rockers AND the banks manifold, would it be worth it? the manifold is $350 and the rockers are $440... thats $790..

The guy that put both on said it did make a ....Small improvement in power.

If any I would go with the new exhaust the rockers you can easily do later when the $$ comes your way easy on off If you know what I mean headers not so easy to swap out.

But you may need to get some re-piping done as they are not an exact fit for the Dakota is what my friend said were it clamps onto the old piping its a bit different so you may need to cut off the stock connection and weld on the proper connection.
We are not talking changing the new header just were it clamps together

The stock exhaust is very restrictive

why would the 1998 jeep 2.5 and the dakota 2.5 exhaust manifolds be different??

I don't know that's what he told me I just know this guy by email.

The frame is different on a Jeep so its routed different so the connection is a bit different.

He may have been mistaken call the company and ask them a few questions easy to do.

Read this it explains it some the exact problem he had.

http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/...d.php?t=155606

Try a test fit before you do the install so you can take the header to a shop for some modification

I was just looking at the manual on it and think the conical gasket is just a little smaller than the Dakota a bit different is all replacing that may be the answer.

Look at the manual for it http://assets.bankspower.com/manuals/152/96437.pdf
