Hi all I'm new to owning a dakota I purchased a 02 with the 3.9 in it. Lately its been stalling when I start it or not idling. Now today it wont even start at all unless I jam my foot on the as when I start it. I was thinking the iac but could it be something else? I Cleaned the throttle body out when I bought it and that helped a little I just could use some knowledge please help

 

I had that problem. I acctualy drove it on the highway and when I got home it would idle. I also had the code p30601 which means the computer failed and I replaced the computer.

 

It's one of the sensors on the computer. More likely of TPS or IAC. MAP doesn't do a whole lot at idle, more off-idle.
