Default Question is there a difference between AT and MT nv231d transfer cases

Hi there,

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the 4.7L engine, 5 speed manual Transmission and a nv231D. The Transfer case is bad. "Cracks in case and big Holes in bottom and side of rear half.
The question is this. Is there any difference between the input shafts and output shafts. Can I use a transfer case from a Durango or Dakota that has a AT transmission?

The Durango transfer case should be alright. No expert here, but according to this (see fitment guide at the bottom of the page) a transfer case of the back of an automatic should work on a manual:
