Default Front Suspension Retrofit?

When I build the stroker motor for my truck I'm also going to do a 3 or 4 link in the rear and I want a different front suspension since I will be using a Ford axle. What cars have the same width as our trucks? I was looking at the newer Corvette suspensions and realized they used electric steering assist and probably can't be converted to power steering.

for the easy of construction and the available articulation, I like a triangulated 4 link.

The ford 8.8 from an explorer should be pretty close on width. I think it'll also have the hole for the tone ring sensor, although the ring will likely be the wrong tooth count.

No idea on what to do with the front.

I'm going to be eliminating the PCM so I don't need a tone ring.

What are you trying to accomplish by changing the front suspension?

Are you planning to graft on the front subframe from the donor vehicle, or just bolt the control arms, etc. onto the existing frame?

It might be easier to suggest a donor vehicle if we knew these things.

I do not want to graft the front subframe onto the truck because that is above my skill level. I want something that will bolt up providing I weld the necessary brackets onto the frame.

Yes I am planning on making a custom Autometer gauge set.

What are you looking for from the front end? Pretty much is gonna have to be custom.

I want a better ride and something that will be the same bolt pattern as the rear end. I could convert the front to 5 lug and overhaul it but after all that trouble it would be cheaper to retro fit a suspension.

If you go with a ford 8.8 rear, you could probably;y make a mustang II front end work, and have a possibly matching lug pattern
