Autolite
I wanted to post here and kind of retract some earlier comments I have made in the past about Autolite plugs. I used to use the 3923's but I read online a few years ago that Autolite had problems with their quality after they moved their manufacturing to Mexico and China. So for my last couple of tune-ups I used NGK plugs in the stock heat range. My truck ran fine on NGK's. I also used to preach that the Belden Premium wire set from Napa was the best.
Long story short, I had to replace my plugs and wires this past weekend because of leaking valve cover gaskets. This time I was on a bit of a budget so I did some research and bought a set of Autolite Professional Series plug wires at Advance. The wires are excellent quality, have a nice thick jacket and the plug boots were thicker material and seemed to be a little better than the Belden wires I had before. Each wire was exactly the right length and clicked in place on the plugs and distributor cap very securely and easily. The Autolite wires seem to be as just as good and even better than Belden and they are made in the USA too. I saved some money on them, regular price at AAP was $33.99, I used a discount code on my entire purchase so they took off $12.83 on the wire set and I also found a $10.00 mail-in rebate on the Autolite web site so the final price of the wire set was only $11.16.
On the spark plugs I just shotgunned it and bought six new 3923's at Walmart. They cost less than $10.00 total and also have turned out to be very good quality. I noticed the insulator tip is now permanently attached to the plug, the plugs I bought did not have the tips that you have to thread on by hand. I did not like the screw-on insulator tips they used before. These new 3923's were made in Mexico and they appear to be very good quality.
So I am back to running 3923's and using Autolite plug wires too. My engine starts right up and is running very smooth. Idle is perfect and it has good power and throttle response, especially in the middle power band range from 30 to about 60 MPH. I can gun the throttle and get on up to speed a bit faster now. My truck had good power on NGK's too but my point here is these Autolite 3923's and Autolite wires are doing real well for me so far. The price was right too.

i just put autolite ar3933 plugs in my dak 01 V6.. and yes they ARE racing plugs. been in 1 mo + -. seems to run fine. i knew it was a gamble. but all seems fine. not that i would recomede it to others. a bit of chrysler history if you dont mind. in the fifty's Chrysler owned autolite, but it was spelled auto-lite. i did have some 392 dist caps that had auto-lite on the top of the cap. and at some point chrysler sold auto-lite, and the spelling changed.
