Default 98 Dakota 5.2 Mising at highway speed

Hello all, New to the forum!

I have a 1998 Dakota with the 5.2L motor. Recently I've noticed that when going up hill at highway speed the engine seems to miss and there isn't much power. I changed out the throttle position sensor and sprayed some cleaner inside the throttle body thinking that might be causing the issue but no dice. Last year I changed plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor so I'm assuming it isn't that. Any ideas what could be causing this issue?

Thanks

Have you checked your injectors? A simple probe with an OHM meter will tell you if any are bad.

Just checked them and they were all between 13.5 and 13.9 ohms. The book says it should be between 10.8 and 13.2 when its 68 degrees. Since they're all pretty consistent I'd say they're good and the higher resistance is attributed to it not being 68 degrees in my garage.

Yep, no problems there.

Have you replaced the fuel pump yet?

It may be ready to go on you check the fuel pressure see if its ok.

Fuel pump death is common on these trucks.

I replaced the fuel pump about 4-5 years so hopefully that's not the issue. I'll try to get my hands on a fuel pressure gauge this week and test that just to be sure though.

Check your plug wires again. Check 'em with your multimeter. They can go bad or even be weak from the factory. One weak wire will cause a high rpm misfire.
