Default I need some help

Im new to this site not sure exactly how it works but i need help with my 2001 dodge dakota.

it has a 4.7 v8 and it started running really bad spitting and and missing like it wasn't getting fuel but i know the fuel pump works just fine.
so i plugged in a scanner and got codes for coils 1 & 5.
then out of nowhere started running great so i drove to town and back then went to start it in the morning and it ran bad then wouldn't start.
no i am not getting any fuel or spark and none of my gauges are working.
I looked around and i think it is the pcm but thats $300 so i want to make sure before i try that.
Can any of you help me?

can you guess when the battery was last changed out? these pcm wont normally work unless the battery is fully charged, try jumping it first to see if you really need a pcm
