What is this sensor

There is a sensor on the left lower rear of my 2000 Dakota 4x4 4.7L engine block. Can someone tell me what this sensor is please?

Is that the left as you face the truck, passenger side?

Crank Position Sensor - probably.

If its on passenger side its the crankshaft posi, sensor.
