I know Im asking a billion questions, but when you say mode door is that to control from say floor to dash flow or temp from cold to heat?

The one with the blue and yellow hoses is the floor/defrost actuator.
The light green and dark green hoses are for the recirculation door actuator.
The brown and red hoses are for the panel/defrost actuator

Someone told me that there could be something blocking the flow of air from the heater core, and I am starting to think that way. It was sitting in a barn and it smells like something crawled up and died in the dash board.

When I smack the dash straw pieces come out and I founf a piece of a decomposed mouse.

Is there a way I could drill a hole or two in the Fire wall or under the dash and blow air in there and see if stuff comes out?

Im trying to do everything I can before I tear apart the dash, as its really cold outside and I cant get into my garage.

Yes, I did. In your other thread.

Wouldn't surprise me.

No. You do not want to penetrate the firewall. Drilling into the HVAC assembly is not a good idea either. You could puncture the heater core or the evaporator. Besides, the only way for stuff to come out of the "inlet" side of the heater assembly is through the cowl. Unfortunately, the path is fairly long and not straight. You couldn't get a hose through due to the blower motor - and that can't be removed without taking out the HVAC assembly.

I understand that. Unfortunately I see no way around it. You just can't get into it. If you found parts of a mouse there is more of the mouse, and his pee, and his poop (family site) in there as well. It really needs more than just blowing the stuff out. Urine will corrode the heater core eventually.

Ok I hired a guy to do it for me, and I was just talking to him and he said that there was a yellow vacuum line disconnect and then he said there was a large tube that was disconnect, he described it like a hose from a shop vac and there was a area that it attached to.

Could that have been part of the issue?

He replaced the heater core flushed the system and checked the blend doo and said it was working fine

"Hose from a shop vac?"

Not sure what he means. I'd love to have seen a picture.

Is it working now?

well that will help a lot LOL, the other day when I was driving it the drivers window was icing up and when I rolled it down it wouldn't roll back up until I let it sit and "warm" up.

That will help out a lot
