Replacement Steering Rack

What luck has everyone had with reman steering racks? What brands seem to be good quality? Or does everyone prefer the factory rack? I'm replacing mine soon and would like some opinions.

Great question! My shop friend says mine needs replaced before too long... that was 2 years ago and still turning.

Just be sure you flush the old fluid out I used cheap wally world stuff first for a week dumped it then new quality fluid.

I know the V6 and V8 are hard to do as my 2.5 has an external tank

About 3 years ago I put a Cardone from Advance Auto Parts in my uncle's 98. He's put about 30k miles on it since then and says it drives like it did when he first bought it in 2000. No problems at all.
