Default 15" wheels on an 01 quad cab sport?

I have 2 trucks. One of them has near brand new 33" mud tires that I'd like to put on the quad cab, but the quad cab has 16" wheels and my other truck is a 99 extended cab base model with 15" wheels. Do you guys know if the 15" wheels will fit or did the 01's have bigger brakes or something?

I managed to find this in the search so I'm hopefull.

I'll just have to give it a try when I have both trucks side by side. I'll report back what I find in case anyone searches this thread in the future.

I thought brakes/calipers where a little bit bigger thats why they went to 16's. I could be wrong tho

I think that was in '03. My '01 has factory 'premium' 15" wheels on 29.5" tires.

My 01 factory wheels are 16". Perhaps the 9.25 rear end and 4.7 engine has something to do with that. If the bolt pattern fits, it'll work! Just be mindful of the clearance...

15" was standard in 2001. 16" was optional. You'll need to reprogram your new tire size though.

I'm assuming the bolt pattern and backspacing is the same.

Bolt pattern is the same. Not sure about the backspacing.
