"Ground" is to bare metal yes. There are specific ground locations in the wiring diagram.

The "sensor ground" is NOT to bare metal. It is a specific terminal on the PCM, Connector 1 Pin 4.

 

Okay. Bypassed the old two-wire harness and went directly from the downstream O2 sensor to the PCM and the truck would turn over but not fire. it would cough but not fire. I wired it back and it started like a dream. Back to the drawing board, I guess. Thanks you guys, for your help.
