Hi all, my dakota just freaked out! We just had a big down pour of rain and when I got into my truck and started it the cargo lamp light was on. Then the windshield wipers came on by themselves and the horn started blasting. Shutting the truck off did nothing. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. I did have some corrosion on the negative terminal, but I don't think that caused it. any ideas?

Check for water near the CTM, drivers side of the dash. All these functions are controlled by the CTM so maybe there was a water leak and something shorted.

 

Thanks,…that seemed to have worked. I had my door open during the rain trying to get my son in the back seat. I took off the plastic around the ctm and blew it with my compressor. Connected the battery and started it…seems fine. Thanks for the help.
