Default Trading custom rims for stock "venting"

Ok what is it with people?? I have a nice set of 18" AMP wheels on my truck and absolutily hate them. They were on the truck when I bought it and are about useless in my opinion.

I've been trying to trade them for a set of stock 16" rims with no luck. Oh I've had guys offer to trade thier stock 15" rims which obviousely wont fit my truck. I had one woman offer to trade her stock 16s but she wanted me to give her an additional $500 cash?????? Her tires had less than 10% tread left.

So is it just me or is everyone in Oregon just out to get one over on the next guy??

Don't know what is so obvious...
you do not show the year of your Dakota, so 15" could be an option.
btw, i am going to ask $350 for my set (15x8)

If 15" were an option I would not have even posted this as it would not be an issue. I have a 2003 Dakota quad cab 2wd which has the larger brake rotors on it so 15" rims will not work. Oh and just so you know 15" rims from your year of Dakota are a dime a dozen here. Most all sets in very nice condition go for $80-100 here unless they have newer tires with better than 50% tread on them and then they are only going for around $200 a set.

Have you checked the boneyards?

Rims are normally pretty quick to go but I always check the new arrival section at my local pick and pull.

I do agree that the 16's a lot harder to find than the 15's.

Yea, some folks are treating OEM 15 and 16 inch rims as gold. I have been looking for an extra 15 inch rim for my 2000 2wd and the bone yards want $125 for "used". I must be too tight with my money, because with that price they can keep it. LoL

It's simple supply and demand. There is nothing else that uses the same lug pattern except for the Dakota, Durango and Viper.

Lol. Nobody wants your ugly 18's. Lol. Not even you.
Buck up and buy new wheels.
My stockers are going to scrap when I get my new steel ones.
But they're 15's or you could have them.
