Auxiliary light and mounting point choices
Hey guys, I'm looking to get some additional lighting on the truck for use in the back country but my truck has a stock exterior. No bull bar, light bar, push bar, or bush bar. Now, these are the lights I'm looking at:

Have any of you mounted lights of similar size somewhere on your bumper? If so I'd love to see pictures and see how they turned out. Small bull bars typically run around $350 locally so I was hoping to avoid spending money on that if I could.

Keep your eyes open. You'll find something cheap. Where are you located? I saw a brush guard today for a good price. If you're on facebook, search for "Dodge Dakota Parts Group" and join it. Lots of cool stuff there. Otherwise, join some local garage sale groups or car parts groups. I got mine on one for $150

Yeah, I'd assume there's less good used parts in Canada for that reason. Some people in that Dakota group are willing to ship for a fee, but something like that might cost a lot. He's only asking $75, though, so if he can ship it, total might still be decent. I have no idea how customs work for that kind of stuff. Good luck!

I dunno if there is the room behind the grill on a DAK, but a LOT of Ram owners who don't have any external pieces with light tabs put 'em there. I know the Hella 500s are very thin, not expensive at all and light things up well. Plus for about $10 you can pick up 100 watt bulbs and replace the stock 55 watt bulbs for even more output...

I was a looking around eBay and found a safari bar from westin. Now usually buying a bar off eBay becomes cost prohibitive when shipping to Canada. Usually the shipping is as much as the item or more. I found one though that goes through eBay's global shipping program and that makes it a more realistic price so I jumped on it. I've never seen them sold through the program before. I'm still looking at possibly getting a set of those lights I linked to but I'm going to wait till the bar comes here so I can pull some measurements off it and be sure those lights will fit before I order them too.
