Found the below radiator just a few questions maybe you guys can answer.

Existing Rad does NOT have external trans cooler.
New one DOES but there is room between rad and AC condenser.
New one should should still fit, Right?

From what I can find, only the Durango had the external cooler factory, Right?

Anyone made purchases from these guys? If so how was it?

Ive seen that site before and many like it using he same exact everything except different colors and banner logo.. I've steared clear... always used Rockauto or bought from certain Ebay sellers that are nothing more than E-Store fronts for drop shippers.

Flushed cooling system. Drained radiator and block.
Then bottom hose on filled with water and left top hose off.
Run truck with top hose off and water hose in the radiator to
make sure it was a good flush for about 15 minutes.

Installed new radiator from 1800radiator (and a bag of candy that the wife ate). Filled with water. (for testing purposes)
1 quart Lucas trans additive/fluid. 2 quarts trans fluid.

Now I CAN'T make the thing over heat

When first installed went up and down a few hill that would have overheated
the truck before the new radiator. So I hit the OD off button and was doing
70 up and down the hills. It was cool out after a rain bout 70 degrees or so.
So I wasn't too sure if it was fixed or not. Guessin' the temp was about 170 or 180 or so.
It was about the middle of the low mark 130 and middle gauge of 210.

Then yesterday was the hottest its been in a few days.
Was out on a job that I know the trips overheated the truck.
With OD off, AC on, up hills still 65 MPH, temp hand got to about the middle of the 2 in 210.
Stopped at top of the hill, topped off the gas tank and my belly
Got back in truck about 10 minutes later and still under 210.

Now I know the truck is fixed. I'm not going to be driving it much at all.
Just took a full time job start Friday.
They supply company truck and drive it home. Dispatched from the house. 40+ hours.

Well at least it fixed NOW when I need it and don't have to worry about it.
Anybody changing the radiator the quick disconnects on the trans hoses are not quick.
Took me about 30 minutes but I didn't read any instruction about how to take then apart.
Reuse the same metal clips.

Thanks brother. Been self-employed for little over 2 years. Doing 3rd party contracts.
Now that I've gained employment phone been ringin' off the hook wanting me to go here or there and do work.
3 weeks ago couldn't get a days work.

Got a question for ya. Now that I know the clutch fan works to keep the truck cool.
Still thinkin' bout doing the e-fan. Found a guy that has a fan from a 99 dodge caravan dual fan setup and others.
Good prices on the fans.
Some have wiring going the AC tubes etc.

Question is would the caravan dual fan setup be OK or go with a large single fan? OR leave it as is.

Dan, thanks. Now that I got my truck fixed and the new job with a company van.
My brother wants to use my truck. He's about 6'4" pushin' 300 lbs and ridin' around in a little POS tracker.

I don't think I hurt the motor any *icking around with the iron out.
Only hit the 260 mark twice and only for a minute or less.
Good thing the heater blower thing works as good as it does.
Motor still runs good. No milkie-ness in oil or anything.

Going to flush it a time or two more before putin' in the antifreeze.
Think this weekend I'm going to cut the jugs off the old radiator and look inside.
If I do, I'll post up some pics of what I find.

I'd be interested in seeing what they look like.

Look a few threads down. Jon dakota guy is selling his fans.

I took the clutch fan off after going E. No need for it.
