Just took delivery on these LED fogs today. Can't tell you much about them because they're still in the box. The install is going to be more involved than I thought. Didn't read carefully and thought they were plug and play. Time is scarce for me nowadays.

I went on e-bay when i bought my new head lights (like the ones Dodgevity shows on his) and they match good and even came with new phillips bulbs. Direct Factory replacement style..
They are factory replacements easy to swap and i'm happy with their quality. Got mine from a carpartswholesale

I have clear corner heads from DEPO similar to both guys above. I replaced both lowers with OEM replacement houusings and stuck some 6000 x 35W HID bulbs in them.

if you use 35W you are fine. 55W will melt the housing. Electrically, I ran my own wiring (did a cross-over move on my lighting system) but they are happy on 18 gauge, factory wiring shouldn't be a problem, especially with the new digital inverters.

Default Housing

Are all housings safe with the 35W. I bought a pair of fogs for my 2nd gen and they were only about $30. I'm not really sure if they'll hold the 35W but then again, I don't know much of anything when it comes to electrical and temperatures.

Also, are there any bright, bold amber bulbs for the 800 series fogs?

To be honest the OEM one's seem perfectly fine; mine are just plain jane OE bulbs really light up well, and to be honest i could drive just with them on only with out head lights.. I don think going more than factory is really needed unless your doing a full conversion.

Now my mains i just bought some upgraded bulbs that are 55w low beam adn 100 soemthing high.. not that i EVER use high beams.. it will be nice to see what kind of lighting i get.. they were only 10 bucks from rockauto so not a waste just a test.

yes, mine are cheapo housings as well. If you go that route, you should be able to find some like 3500K HID bulbs which will be a very deep yellow.
