Default No bus

My 01 4.7L Dakota is showing no bus in the odo window. I realize this might be the PCM, but today I found a broken ground strap. It is attached to the firewall near the accumulator. The strap is about 6 inches long. I can't locate the other half of it. (see images) I found 2 others bolted to the block, and the both go the PCM ground circuit.
Any help y'all could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

I have one on the right side head, there is one down by the oil pan. Both of these run up the back of the motor and tie into the PCM ground. The third one (broken), connects near the accumulator bracket on the right side of the firewall. I have yet to find where the other half is connected.

I'm surprised its a bare braided flat wire

My 98 has a basic round large gauge wire protected by a coating I do also have two flat coated cables as grounds.

Why yours have no protective coating is strange

I have three of those straps. The broken one, and two that go over to the PCM ground circuit.

uninsulated flat strap grounds RF waves (AC current) which can be harmful to electronics, insulated round wire grounds DC current (spark plugs & electrical).
