The alternator, battery, PCM, etc., all could be a problem BUT without a thorough diagnostic it's all a guess. At least put a real voltmeter on the truck to see what is happening. The gauges ARE NOT accurate enough.

If you truly had 0 or even 6 volts your truck would NOT be running.
