5.9 true duel exhaust?

RE: 5.9 true duel exhaust?
I put true duals on my 1995 model with turndowns. On the 95, the O2 sensor was in the cat monitering all 8 cylinders output. After i cut the cat off (it was rattling and i wasnt about to blow that kind of money on a cat $$$) I had the O2 sensor tapped into one of the pipes. No gains or losses in fuel mileage or power. Loudest truck around. It was almost too loud. Had to scream inside it for someone in the passenger seat to hear you. I had flowmasters which i highly recommend. I live in SC. We dont have vehicle inspections here anymore so there's no chance of being caught for cutting the cats off. If you live in a more strict state, I would leave them on for sure. I wouldnt pay that kinda jack for high flow ones though. A tip for those of you who live in states with just a visual inspection and not a meter up the pipe haha. Hollow the cat out and beat a piece of exhaust pipe through the middle. Still looks like you have the cat on it, but its just straight through.
