Default Closed loop engine stalls...

This just started happeneing, seems like as soon as engine goes into closed loop engine will stall (98 Dakota). Codes were PO351 which directed me to change the coil. Still happening. Rotor, distributor cap and wires replaced as well as the IAC. No codes anymore but still stalling when it goes into closed loop. Happens only once then fine the rest of the day. Any ideas what to check next? Thanks!

I have same issue,,, changed distributor, cap.wires plugs, injectors, map, maf e.g.r.throttle pos sensors, fuel pump, purge canister,o.b.c.wiring harness. warms up, then loses ablity to idle. The only thing I havent changed is the lic. plate light bulb. Almost ready to use the truck for a boat anchor. Has 21,297 original miles and its a 1997 5.9 v-8.
Dash has disintegraded to dust and the radio hasnt worked sinse the second month of owning it,, dealer said they ordered a replacement but I believe after 17 yrs, they are not going to replace it. DONT BUY A DODGE IN TEXAS,,,, THE DEALERS TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN AND DONT HONOR WARRANTEE WORK.

Does it just die, like the key was turned off, or sputter and die, like run out of fuel?

I'm thinking cam position sensor, the pickup in the distributor.

Just an update...O2 sensor came in Saturday so I popped it in, downstream. It didn't stall but I'm not convinced. Waiting for the upstream this week as well. I didn't realize there I had them a few years now and about 50K on them. This week should tell....I'll post when I know for sure.

Default Still at it....

Well, this is where I am at with this thing. O2 sensors were changed. I monitored all the sensors on a graph when the engine stalls or should I say quits but in some cases it's running again after a small hiccup. After it does it one time, and I still believe it's happening when it goes into closed loop. After that one time it just doesn't happen again for the rest of the day. I am starting to suspect the ECM not sending a signal fast enough. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
