Default Help!

Ok I will start with a list of what has been replaced. Cats, cam sensor, tps, crank sensor, plugs, and tranny.

Now the problem. If I back my truck up to a curb til my tires touch then gas it, Rpm's go up to 2k but stop, no matter how hard I mash the pedal. Also while driving when I get to about 40mph Rpm's drop down to 1k and only bounces back up if I gas it. I really don't know what else it can be. I'm also only getting about 13-14mpg. Its just like it does not have the power it used to or the "get up and go". Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Sounds like you've got transmission issues. How long ago did you replace it and have you checked the fluid?

I agree with Dodgevity. Check your transmission fluid level, and at the very least top it off if it's low, or change it and the filter altogether. A top-off might be cheaper just to verify functionality. If the fluid level is fine, or if topping it off doesn't fix it, you may have some other more serious issues.

you're down on power and possibly low on fluid. Your convertor is stalling (max slip) at 2,000 which is higher than normal (1600ish) and your motor doesn't have the power to drive through it.

It's recent, just went for 2 week check up and they hooked computer up to it and said it's still in adaption mode. Maybe I just need to be more patient?

And what other more serious issues could it be?

It also does the same thing in 4hi, gas it and stops at 2k Rpm's, but 4lo works perfect

that's the torque convertor doing what it should.

That doesn't make much sense to me why it would do that, just doesn't seem right like it shouldn't be doing that. I mean if you are stuck u need higher Rpm's not for it to hold u to 2k Rpm's
