The only spec on the TV cable is that they match from idle to 1/2 throttle AND that it returns to a closed position.

I'd think it unlikely to have all the solenoids fail at once. Have you ruled out any wiring problems? Do you have power on pin 87 of the transmission control relay?

well i have only had the truck a few months and it was like that when i got it. i dont know anything about it other than it was sitting about a year. there is mud caked up in the hard to reach places underneath so its possible that it has wiring issues. where is the pin 87 at and would an analog multimeter work to see if its getting power?

i was reading some other forums and people kept asking if the overdrive button worked. i dont know if it has anything to do with my problem but mine does NOT work. i can push it all day long and it wont do a thing. although i think the bulb on the gauges is blown because the o/d off light dont come on when i turn the key on. and when i did the gauge check thing it did show a code for not receiving a signal from something but i dont remember what it was now. and i dont remember if that bulb lit up then or not.
