Default gotta be the pump

All we can figure is that the pump must hqve went out...it explqins the whining...any other problem would not have caused whining, besides the filters...what my concern is now is can i just replace the pump without a rebuild or new transmission...used pump is 45$my transmission acting very good before this...like i said there was no metal...fluid was clear..now all we can do is take it out and see whats going on...i will try to replace pump first...will keep everyone posted..have enjoyed everyones comments ty dodge communityUOTE=Dodgevity;3205373]So what was the outcome? I'm curious. I have a cheap Driveworks canister filter in mine (no anti-drainback valve) and I think I'll change it to Mopar on the next drain and fill.[/QUOTE]

If the pump cavitated the lines, pump, etc., will fill with foam. Until that's gone, you won't get good pressure.

Before you condemn the pump, can you check the pressure?
