Hey guys; was inspecting my fluid levels and i found this.. Cant say i ever noticed it before now.. looks like i might be in trouble here. or do you think this is just surface imperfections? Anyone see anything like this common on 44re's and their HD transfer cases?

Can't really tell from the pics. Do you "feel" it? Is it leaking?

It could be surface imperfections.

 

I know its hard to tell from the pictures.. hard to tell in person too though too
Yes- Can feel them.. the bigger one is sorta deep; the smaller ones you can feel but are not very deep to the touch like with your finger nail.
No - Its not leaking and this is on one of the main bolts.. so if it were all the way through it would not leak unless it cracked enough to break through past the bolt..
