Default Check Gauges Light

99 Dakota: "check gauges" light comes on when I turn a corner or come to a stop...thoughts? All gauges seem to be operating normal; no problems with the truck

I'd bet at least one sensor is dropping out. Gas? Oil Pressure?

Gas is what gives my Cougar fits since the wife won't think to fill it up until the "Check Gauges" light lights up ...

Keep an eye in the oil and temp sensors for sure.

I once had a sticking thermostat and the temp gauge would rocket to hot and then go back down to normal within seconds.

Oil pressure also lowers as you slow down/stop so make sure that isn't your problem.

Maybe check brake fluid level? I had a car once that lit up a few lights when I went around the corner or came to a stop. It turned out to be the brake fluid was low? I would think they would of had a specific light for that but they didn't.
