if you find out the size, let me know. I could use the metric to english adapters.

My problem is that to get the right adapter, I'd have to take the line off my truck. I want to do the line locks as a quick 1/2-day thing so I'd rather have everything on hand before starting. Especially if it becomes a hunt for parts. -shrug-

If I can't salvage my existing fittings Ill have no choice but to try Napa... I'll let you know if I'm successful. Probably won't start till after Christmas though... looks like I'm renting a damn truck!!

The distribution blocks are for sure ISO/Bubble/Single flare. I think the hard line to flex line couplings are inverted/double flare. Not sure what the master cylinder or RWAL unit are.

I wouldn't be opposed to taking out the 2 existing distribution blocks out, cutting and re-flaring the front to inverted, put it into the front LL, then use a prefab line from LL to an inverted Tee, with inverted lines from there to the flex line couplings, and change the flex lines to SS braided #3 AN. And take the back with a new line from the RWAL solenoid (as much as I'd like to bypass it, I can't) to the rear LL to a union to the rear, re-flared to inverted.

So just to update the progress here:

Today I removed the old line and was able to salvage the fitting going into the distribution block behind the driver side front tire... it's in very good shape.

Now to the f@!$ing nightmare of what I'm dealing with now:

First of all, I broke a lug nut stud on the rear driver side hub. Woo.

Next, when I tried to remove the fitting from the hard line into the flex line I mangled the fitting head beyond salvaging.. so I tried my best to get it out.

Used a combination of vice grips, PB blaster and a torch to get the sucker out and I couldnt... spend 3 hours doing just this.

I had no choice but to try and drill the existing fitting out.

I'm now going to attempt to re-tap the threads of the fitting housing to a 3/8 thread and hope I can find a 3/8" fitting with 3/16" tube.

Right now the truck is sitting leaking brake fluid in my garage and wouldn't be surprised if the master cylinder is empty by morning... tried to stop the leak and was unsuccessful.

I hate jobs like this.

Will try to get it finished tomorrow. Oh and Merry Christmas all.

I don't know how you northerners deal with salt and rust. I think i'll stay here and sweat my butt and clear coat off in exchange.

Rustproof everything. Yearly.

I bought a little Mazda 3 back in May and that thing will be getting Krowned (rust proof company) yearly as I plan to have it for the next 5-6 years.

And so this morning I went to the autoparts store and picked up a new fitting with a 3/16 tube diameter and 3/8-24 thread pitch so I'll be tapping the fitting housing where the hard line splits into the softer hose.

I have a feeling the walls may be a little thin but I'm not worried about that.

I'll post a picture later.
