Dakota rear sway bar options
Checked under the truck this evening and saw a puny rear sway bar which looks to be about 15mm or so. A little googling and I found out that the R/T has a 21mm sway bar. Any idea if it would fit my quad cab? I'm guessing they should be the same but with the shortened bed of mine, I want to be sure.
Also read that the front sway on the R/T is around 30mm solid and mine should be around 34mm hollow? Not sure how much difference that is in performance. Anyone running these? Any wheel hop issues?

I dont see you gaining a noticeable difference. I would personally spend the money elsewhere. If you were running your truck in autocross then it might be a little better but as far is a normal DD I wouldnt.
I'll go a step further and say that in normal everyday driving, they don't do much. If you take corners fast, they do alot. In a straight line...lets just say my front one is getting one end unhooked and my back one looks like a pretzel from all the preload I have in it.
Don't knock it till you try it. I've been upgrading sway bars on my cars for a long time and they make a very noticeable difference in cornering, even during normal driving. In fact, I just upgraded the rear bar on my Accord by only a few mm and it made a huge difference. Next I'll be adding a FSTB to it.
Now I will say, I've never upgraded a truck, so it remains to be seen. Cost is not an issue. I pull them from the junkyard.

Yeah.. I would want to upgrade them both. The 21mm in the rear might create oversteer if I don't upgrade the front. I'd imagine oversteer in a pickup being more dangerous than with a car due to the light tail end.
good call.
