Check Gages Light On

99 Dakota: Check Gages light comes on at sudden stops and when I turn a corner. Noticed the oil pressure indicator drops to zero, then returns to normal. Where should I begin to troubleshoot?

check oil level. Sounds like you're starving the oil pump when the fluid sloshes around in the pan.
