Default obd port replacement

In a nutshell, mine broke and I need to replace it. The dealer has a replacement kit for it for $50.00. Just wondering if I can find it cheaper online.

From my fave site, not enough cheaper to be worth the wait and shipping:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...parttype=15682

YMMV, natch.

I like JKeaton's suggestion also!

It just baffles me that someone would take the time to post the question "just wondering if I can find it cheaper online?" But can't take the time to search for it in their own. Lol....Well, have you tried to find out yourself if one is cheaper online??? Lol

Its sad but most just want an easy simple answer but don't want to take the time to do the work themselves these days.

Just post a Q and give me the answers I'm waiting..... I call them the ****** and grab info seekers. Post and wait for all the suckers to do my work for me type.

The internet is a wonderful place to find almost any kind of info just Google a Q do your own legwork.

We are here to help but don't like getting suckered by lazy people I post way less than I used to do because of these slobs I pick and chose now.

Lazy people just go away

Did a search thank you. If I owned a caravan or cummins I would be o.k. The dealer wouldn't give me the part number so I am asking if anyone has been in my situation could give me a hand. If you don't want to help then ignore the post. What is the point of having a forum then?

Not a common part that is why i asked. Most forums I belong to people help, not here though. People jumping all over it, saying I am lazy? Working 60 hours a week as a plumber is not lazy, busy yes. Says a lot about the people who responded on this topic. I knew their was a reason I don't come here often.

Don't be so sensitive. It's the Internet. If you had stated you searched then no one would give you grief. Not mind readers on here. You apparently had time to call or visit a dealer for their price!. We can only go by the info provided. If you don't give details, well then, sorry your so easily offended.

Don't understand the "not a common part" statement since every vehicle made since 1996 has the same obd port. Go to a junk yard and grab one off any vehicle, buy the dealer one or the rock auto one posted above. You got your answer.

"Not a common part" I Know every vehicle has them. How often are they replaced? Not often? All the local "auto" parts places did not have them.
