I'm new here just looking for some help
2002 Dodge Dakota, Quad cab, 4.7 L V8
im looking to replace all the light behind my
dashboard everything like the check engine light
everything.....just a quick question
how many lights do i need and what size(s)?

It did for my 1988, 98Dakaz. However, swapping to a white LED lamp gave me a bluish dash.
But for Zach1995 - I'd highly recommend picking up a spare instrument cluster out of the boneyard and playing with it on your bench or table.

I have my dash out now so I can check but I'm sure the color comes from the Dash film not the color of the bulb

You can buy an overlay kit to change the gauge face color. Here is one that is white in daytime and indiglo blue at night:
The kits are expensive. Somewhere around $80.00 is about the going rate. They are not exactly easy to install, I have done a few back in the day but if you take your time with it the result is worth it. They do look very sharp when done correctly. Be very careful when removing and reinstalling the gauge needles. If there is a truck accessories store near you you might give them a call, they may offer a good price and maybe even include installation. Amazon, Ebay or a truck shop are the only places I know to buy/order the kits.
