Cel
I'm a little confused on this one. I have a "Check Engine Light" on however, no codes. After a lot of work on the truck and everything is running perfect I'm stuck with this light on. I shut it off once but it came right back on again as soon as I started up. Checked again no codes. What's up with that?
98 Dakota 204K....using autotap which I have always used over the last 10 years or so on many cars and never had an issue. I am able to turn the light off but it comes right back on restarting. No codes, engine runs good, just this dang light problem.
Just to eliminate a possible catalyst, have it scanned at an auto parts store for free.
Okay, so, I have taken it to autozone and they gave me a printout of the codes. PO201 thru PO206. Which means all the injectors are malfunctioning. The PCM was replaced as well as injectors. I can turn off the CEL but it comes right back on as soon as I start the truck (3.9L Dakota 204K). I need an opinion on what you might all think. Truck runs fine, no driveability issues. Could the PCM be bad which they said they would let me return for testing or repair since it's under warranty. I don't think it's the injectors as all were replaced however, I do have an old one temporarily in place because one was not injecting fuel right out of the box. Again, no driveability issues. Thanks!
