My 02 Dakota is no longer a construction vehicle and my neighbors complain about the backup beeper. How do I disable it?

 

Find it and disconnect the wire. Tape the end of the wire. Done. Or ask your neighbors if they would rather you back over their kids/animals etc. it s for safety. Sounds like you got sensitive neighbors. Moving to the correct section.

 

It shouldn't be hard to find. Just turn the key on, don't start the truck, and put it in R.

There were also "beeper bulbs" that replaced the OEM bulb - if you can't find the beeper itself.

 

Well if your neighbors are complaining about it and they have complained about other things then id leave it on..

 

That's lame its not like you are backing up for half an hour or so what's the beef?

Now if it wakes your neighbors why didn't they complain about it back then.
