Thanks man that's exactly the feed back I'm looking for..
6K looks nice.. which one's did you use.. 35w , 50/55w or the slim? do you remember?
DO you remember the lenth of the bulb was it about the same as stock bulbs by any chance? I have aftermarket light assemblies (can link if needed) just wondering if they will fit.

I ran 6k 55watt in the headlight and 6k 35watt in the fogs. They were reg ballasts mounted them to my rad support behind the bumper. Never compared it to my old bulb but it fit in my stock housing and my ebay tinted clear housings just fine. I think the only thing I had to do was file down the edge of the bulb base(plastic part) it was a bit too thick to fit in the light to get the locking ring to lock on to the light housing
No, they are brighter also.
Or rather, I can light up mile markers a mile up the road with ZXe's in my 1988.
(They also don't claim to last as long as stock halogens.)

I had the zxe bulbs in my grand prix and took them out, they weren't as bright as the silverstar (confirmed using one in each housing) and nowhere near as far a throw as the real hid bulbs, grand prix's are not known for good lighting the zxe gave me about 10 feet of light, stock bulbs were actually a little better
Nice.. exactly what i have on my truck.. I did some searching i heard some negitive review lasting only 1 year but must have been a bad set. Guy did say the mech was messing with wires during a battery change guess they blew out a balist.
