Can't find Tailgate part name!!

I'm guessing, but I think the correct name might be "Bushing". I don't remove my gate but I assume it's a plastic bushing that rides inside the tailgate hinge bit. Probably thin walled, just to reduce the amount of friction and wear on the metal parts.

Maybe a piece of plastic hose could be made to work? And stop taking tailgate off so you don't lose it again!!

You're also missing the rubber bump stop which stops the tailgate from rattling. Maybe not noticeable to those without rear sliding glass but I like mine quiet.

I don't thin I ever had one, I bought the truck used so it must not have come with it when I bought it.

I think you can stack washers to make up for that missing part, OP.

If it rattles either get a stick on rubber bumper anywhere and cut it to size or just use a wood wedge and wedge it in as needed.
