That's my recollection too, the early fits the later. The connectors should fit for power. You may have to do some rerouting of the fuel lines.

I'm not sure physically of the differences but it'd be nice to find out.

I'll do some checking on it. Not gonna be able to get to it for a few days anyway, though.

FYI....part# on the bottom of the tank will give you the capacity if you look up the part. Fuel pump is a little different for the two different tank capacities. I believe the 22 gallon is a little deeper.
