1998 5.2 running very bad
No you don't sound like a broken record. It's that it's not sinking in my thick head. I have decided to get the Snap On scanner you mentioned or take it to the Dodge place or a good mechanic to get it set right. Assuming I did get the scanner, how does the scanner go about setting the proper fuel sync? Are there certain input parameters that I need to input? As far as my last post about the spark advance, will that change to what it should be as a result of getting the fuel sync right?
I'm sorry to be such a PITA but I appreciate your help

For inputs it just connects to the OBD port.
You don't just buy the scanner though. You need the proper "key" and "cartridge" which is the software for your vehicle.
The scanner does not "set" the fuel sync. It only displays it. You still have to turn the distributor to set it.
Your spark advance is not adjustable, it's set by the PCM.
It should be a quick procedure at any well equipped shop.
