Default Torque converter

04 dodge Dakota 4.7
545-rfe
what are the signs of a torque converter failure?
The other day I heard a whining noise but I'm unsure if it just was the cheaply built power steering pump or the torque converter.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
all I did recently was replaced radiator. Thanks for everybody's help on that.
the CSF radiator was a great choice.

The PCM will disable O/D and throw a couple of different codes if it detects that the lockup clutch is slipping.

Usually you'll have a tranny temp warning too.

My second TQC, The lockup clutch came apart and clutch material clogged the whole trans. First warning was an intermittent RPM mismatch and gov pressure solenoid code for about 500 miles, followed by (within a span of 10 miles) losing lockup, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, then 1st and having no drive at all.
