Default Dakota wont start

I have a 1997 dodge dakota SLT V8 magnum which ran on both propane and gas but my grandfather removed the propane and now it wont run. We cant figure out why. Anyone have any idea?

Without knowing the details about what was involved with the propane conversion or what you mean by "my grandfather removed the propane", kinda hard to guess.

Well it was converted when he bought it so im not sure what is involved with a conversion. But there is a switch to go between the two and even though its on the gas it wont start. thats all i know

Does it turn over? Does it have gas? Is the gas relatively fresh/new? Do you have spark? When did it last run and did it last run on propane or gas?

Yes it turns over, it just shuts off fairly quickly from what i am told. It has gas. As for a spark I am unaware of that, but the gas runs in the carberator (sorry dont know much about vehicles) it last ran on gas as far as i know. It has been sitting for the better part of 10 years but it has been used here and there throughout.

If the gas is 10 years old it will never run right even if it does start. Need fresh gas. Probably a tune up as well.

Well we will be doing those things and will be replacing the fuel pump as that seems to be the problem. I will keep you updated
