I still don't see why they would have overheated as once you started driving, the caliper would have adjusted to the width, unless by forcing you leaned the piston and got it stuck.

Well, the problem was not solved. The next day the brake rotor overheated on the passenger side. Removed wheel and inspected rotor and caliper and did not see a problem. Since the rotor had been overheated I took to O'Reillys to make sure the rotor had not warped. Needed to be turned to purchased re-mfg caliper and new brake hose. Installed and flushed/bleed brakes as suggested and "now" it appears that the problem is solved. I'll let you know if there are more problems. Thanks again for all your input!
