I found if I pull over shut down wait around 5 to 10 seconds start back up everything is ok no dash warning lights. Dosent always happen sometimes for months its on off.

Im guessing abs/speed sensor on rear Diff is sticking going bad
I had this same problem in a 2002 Durango 4.7 L. 2wheel drive SLT + . I replaced the entire rear end with a low mileage salvage unit. That was 80k miles ago and still have not this problem again. If I had been a little smarter at the time I would have replaced it with a 2003 disk brake unit instead of the 2002 drum unit.

Default ABS speed sensor rear at rear brake

Hi Guys I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 I was hoping to fit some big rims but have come across this sensor at the right rear brake drum not on top of the Axle nothing there at all,I think it's the ABS speed sensor that is playing up but any way this sensor bracket comes right up from the axle and over the drum to the front of the brake drum the sprocket is actually on the face of the brake drum so the rear wheels have 2" wheel spacers to keep the sensor and bracket away from the back of the wheel hub also can't fit 15" wheels as the sensor is 1/4 " from the is side of the wheel ,Sorry this is so long winded but has any one come across this and modified this at all,I can fit bigger wheels but I am loosing 2"" of front dish because of the spacers how some can help.

Just an update on my ABS/BRAKE light problem. Got a recall on the brake light switch (the one down by the peddle). Got the replacement put in, and now no problem with the ABS/BRAKE light problems. :-)== And as a side note, my cruise control also now works.
